Coillte Avondale Forest Park is situated in Rathdrum, Co Wicklow, aprox 35 minute drive down the M11 from the M50 at Bray.
The Park lies on the west bank of the Avonmore River on 505 acres of mature woodland. It provides a variety of tree trails and walks ranging in duration from one to five hours, passing through a wide variety of species of trees including Maple, Beech, Oak, Douglas and Silver fir, Pines, Cedars and Larches. Avondale is home to most of our common woodland animals including red squirrel, badger, hedgehog, stoat, fox, rabbit and hare along with a rich bird life with over ninety species having been recorded here.
The State purchased Avondale in 1904 and is now run by Coillte, the semi-state Forestry company.
Forest park open all year round.

and L2149 to Avondale House and Forest Park.
